You book your flights separately, but we've already worked out the sensible way to do it — here are our recommended routes, airlines and timings for this trip.
Our Rajasthan: Desert & Secret Palaces tour begins in Udaipur and ends in Delhi, so we recommend an open-jaw (multi-city) booking:
Udaipur has no international flights, so you will always change planes in Delhi on the way in. The good news is that you fly home direct, with no domestic leg at the end.

London Heathrow has direct flights to Delhi with Air India, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and — since early 2026 — IndiGo. The flight is around 8h 45m, the shortest long-haul in our range.
From Delhi it is a 1h 20m domestic hop to Udaipur, flown many times a day by Air India, IndiGo and SpiceJet.
Other UK airports connect via a Gulf hub with Emirates, Qatar Airways or Etihad.
Carriers we recommend
Air India
Direct from Heathrow to Delhi, and the only carrier that can through-ticket you all the way to Udaipur on one booking — connecting within Delhi's Terminal 3, bags checked through.
British Airways or Virgin Atlantic
Direct from Heathrow to Delhi, with the short domestic hop on to Udaipur booked separately.
Emirates, Qatar Airways or Etihad
A one-stop via the Gulf, useful from regional UK airports, connecting on to Udaipur through Delhi or Mumbai.

Fly into Udaipur via Delhi, and home direct from Delhi.
Air India is the neat option: it can sell you London–Delhi–Udaipur on a single ticket, with your bags checked through to Udaipur and the connection staying inside Delhi's Terminal 3.
If you book the domestic leg separately, allow at least three hours in Delhi to clear immigration, collect your bags and check in again.
Typical economy fares are around £550–£1,000 per person for the multi-city booking, including the Delhi–Udaipur hop.
We must stress that this is indicative only, with fares often rising closer to the departure date and across the October–March high season, always subject to availability and change.
Connecting in Delhi: international flights arrive at Terminal 3. Air India's domestic flights also leave from Terminal 3, so the connection is simple. IndiGo and SpiceJet mostly use Terminals 1 and 2, which means a transfer between terminals — leave plenty of time if you go that way.
On arrival: The tour begins in Udaipur. It is a gentle, beautiful place to land, and arriving a day early lets you shake off the flight before the tour starts. India is 4.5–5.5 hours ahead of the UK.
Coming back: You fly home direct from Delhi, so there is no domestic leg to worry about at the end.
You will need a visa: apply for your India e-Visa online well before you travel — it takes a few days and is not something to leave to the final week.
Extend the trip: Why not add a few days in Delhi at the end, or break the journey home with a Gulf stopover?
International flights are booked separately and booked directly with the airline. The recommendations on this page are guidance to help you choose; fares are indicative and subject to availability and change. We don't sell flights or guarantee fares.
